Collection: A Land Far Away Collection.
Story Time:
While I've studied many artists and many genres in my time, the medieval with it's dragons, and knights, castles, and brave adventures will always hold a place in my heart. As a child I was fascinated with movies and t.v. series like Robin Hood, and William Tell. There was always a castle involved somewhere.
Flash forward to my senior trip, we went to Washington D.C. and had our choice of movies to watch at a local theater. We chose the film Camelot, and looking back now I see that was the Universe working it's magic. Loving that movie like I did, led me to find it was inspired by the 1938 book entitled "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White. After reading I was inspired to do a painting of the wonderful and inspiring Merlin, but that is yet another story time to come.
I found myself to be inspired by studying the works of mister Gaspard Dughet, He painted a lot of castles and a lot of his paintings were called Castle with imaginary landscape. So a few years back I made up my own "Castle in an Imaginary Landscape." It is just a fantasy set in another time and place, a place to escape to in your mind. A Land Far Away.
