Collection: Kofa Mountains Collection
Story Time:
This is a painting I did from a photo taken on a trip to see a friend in Quartzite Arizona. These are the Kofa mountains. Having a jeep, my friend took me way off road to see "skull cave." We took off in the early afternoon and drove way back into a side canyon to explore the cave. I remember thinking how eerie the spiral peaked mountains looked, giving you the feel of being on a strange planet. As we were leaving the sun was setting, and just like that we were awe struck as the setting sun lit up the side of the mountain as if it were calling you home! The picture will never capture the true beauty I beheld that day, but I sure did my best to try to share that moment in time with all of you!
