Collection: A Kingdom Far and Wide Collection.
In Owasso Michigan there is a castle called Curwood Castle. The town has a celebration there in the summer and there is a good size art show around Curwood Castle. While I was set up at this art show for the weekend I happened across a booth that had a giant picture of a castle on one side of it and I stopped to have a conversation. This gentleman had lived in Europe for about 14 years, and had spent a lot of time photographing historic castles all around there.
I bought a couple pictures from him and his wife that day. One of them being of Castle Alcazar of Segovia in Segovia Spain. The picture had a modern surrounding around the castle, but it brought me back to a time when you could see a noble knight riding on his trusty steed. This became the inspiration behind the painting you see today.
